Carnac Island

Experience the beauty on offer!
Carnac Island charters are a great experience and best of all, it’s close to home. Situated just 4.5 nm or 10 kms off Fremantle’s coast, Carnac, which is a nature reserve, offers a nearby alternative for those wanting to see a colony of Sea Lions. They are the rarest sea lion in the world, and the only one found solely in Australia. And because it’s such an elite club they even have their own bachelor pad…yup you guessed it…Carnac Island. Boys only! And although they may look all cuddly it is advised to keep a safe distance when swimming.
Not wanting to be outshone by her sister island Rottnest, Carnac also offers tranquil bays, turquoise waters, a myriad of sea birds (little penguins, wedge-tailed shearwaters, pied cormorants, pied oystercatchers and Caspian, bridled and crested terns), bottle-nose dolphins and spectacular underwater scenery perfect for snorkelling.
A word of warning, guests are advised not to go past the beach as Carnac is home to quite a few snakes and the vulnerable Fairy Tern. However there’s still plenty to enjoy, guests may opt to stay on board and sit back and relax or cool off in the sparkling waters. We also supply snorkelling equipment free of charge, located on board for your convenience, to view Carnac from one of its best perspectives…underwater!
Carnac Island is a great location for your event and with plenty of sights to choose from it offers satisfaction all round. If Carnac is for you, have a look at our vessel Shore Thing and then give us a call or email to make a booking!

Rottnest Island

WA’s Best Getaway Location!
With its casual atmosphere, picturesque beaches and scenery, and located just 11 nm or 20 km off Fremantle’s coast Rottnest Island, or “Rotto” as the locals call it, is the perfect summer escape.
Rotto has to be one of the best locations for a corporate event, weekend away with family and friends or just a short day trip and it never looks more stunning than when viewed from a vessel moored in one of the island’s many secluded bays. And the vessels don’t get much better than Shore Thing!
Your guests will have the option to go ashore and explore the island or stay on board and simply enjoy the surroundings. There’s plenty to do on board like sitting back with lunch and a cold drink or cooling off in the pristine waters. Feel free to use the snorkelling sets, located on board for your convenience and view Rottnest down under!
Popular spots for snorkelling include: The Basin, Parakeet Bay, Parker Point, Little Salmon Bay and Little Armstrong Bay. There’s a snorkel trail that can be followed at Parker Point and there are also plaques on location at Kingstown Reef, with many other reefs around the Island offering great snorkelling opportunities.
Rottnest Island is a Marine Reserve and is home to a dazzling array of fish, crustaceans, coral and is a popular area for migrating whales (winter time), bottle-nose dolphins and Australian sea lions.
Popular spots for swimming at Rottnest include: The Basin, Little Parakeet Bay, Little Salmon Bay, Nancy Cove, Longreach Bay and Geordie Bay.
Surfers can head to the popular surf spots which include: The Rotto Box, Riceys Beach, Stark Bay, Strickland Bay, The Basins Ledge and The Fruit Bowl between Catherine Bay and City of York Bay, Chicken Reef in Salmon Bay and Transits in Thomson Bay.
Rottnest Island beaches were awarded top Australian beaches by Australia’s prestigious travel guide ‘Explore Australia 2007’, and voted the ‘Top Destination to Experience in Australia 2014′ in the Experience Oz poll.
